If you are an active Twitter user, it is likely that you have accumulated a large number of tweets over time. Sometimes you might feel a little concerned about some of these tweets as they longer represent an accurate depiction of who you are today.

Or maybe you simply want to clean up your Twitter profile and get rid of old tweets that are irrelevant & inappropriate to your current brand identity. Whatever your reason may be, you probably know that you can delete a tweet manually.

Officially, Twitter doesn’t provide a way to bulk delete tweets. In case you have multiple tweets to delete, it can be a bit daunting to sit there, tapping, clicking, and deleting each tweet one by one. You don’t have to test your patience anymore because there are quick ways to delete many tweets at once. These methods make the process much easier and faster than manually deleting each tweet.

In this article, we will explore different ways to quickly delete tweets in bulk on Twitter and guide you through each method step by step.

Understanding Twitter’s Tweet Deletion Process

Before we delve into tweet deletion methods, it’s important to understand how the process works. When you delete a tweet on Twitter, it will be removed from your profile and no longer visible to anyone. However, it might still appear in Twitter search results for a few days, even after deletion.

If your tweets have been retweeted by other users or are located on other websites, they may still be accessible through those channels even after being deleted from your profile.

You can relax, as deleting your tweets will not be affecting your Twitter account in any way; all your followers’ profile information and other data will remain intact. The most prime thing to remember is that tweets cannot be recovered once deleted. So, make sure you’re okay with this before you proceed to delete tweets permanently.

How to Delete Your Twitter Tweets in Bulk

Say goodbye to cluttered Twitter timelines by grabbing the power of these remarkable independent applications.

1. TweetDeleter

TweetDeleter is one of the most popular and useful services that help users delete multiple tweets at once. This powerful tool comes with different filters like keywords, date, type, and media to make it easier for users to manage and delete their tweets.

And with its advanced search engine, users can search for all their tweets and likes, get access to their tweet archive, set automatic tweet and like removal, and even save deleted tweets privately in the app.

Here’s how to use TweetDeleter to delete tweets in bulk;

When you click on the “Sign in with Twitter” button, you will be taken to Twitter’s page, where you will be asked to allow the app to access certain details. These are;

  • It will be able to view your Tweets, Lists, and collections, see your account details and settings, and see who you follow, mute, and block.
  • The app can also follow or unfollow accounts, update your profile, post or delete Tweets, and engage with other Tweets on your behalf.
  • Additionally, it can manage your Lists and collections, mute, block, and report accounts, and view your email address.

Once you understood this access, click on the “Authorize app” button to authorize access to your Twitter account. And after you authorize the app, you’ll be redirected to TweetDeleter’s user dashboard.

As you can see from the image I shared above, I’m on their “FREE” plan.

In their free plan, the limit for deleting tweets in bulk is five. But if you wanted to delete more tweets in bulk from your Twitter account, you need to subscribe to one of their plans.

The pricing for these plans is as follows;

  • Standard Plan: This is a basic plan from TweetDeleter that helps you delete up to 500 tweets per month.
  • Advanced Plan: This plan has all the features of the “Standard” plan, but you can delete up to 3,200 tweets and 1,000 likes.
  • Unlimited Plan: This plan is best for agencies and people who tweet a lot. It allows you to delete an unlimited number of tweets and likes.

After clicking on the “Get Started” button, you will be asked to authorize TwitWipe to access your Twitter account. This is a necessary step, as the tool needs permission to delete your tweets. Click on the “Authorize App” button to proceed.

You might be prompted to enter your Twitter login credentials if you are not already logged in. Enter your username and password, and click on the “Log in” button.

Once you have authorized TwitWipe, you will be redirected back to their website. Now, you will see a “Start Wiping” button. Before clicking on it, make sure you have read the warning and understand that this process is irreversible. All of your tweets will be deleted permanently, and there is no way to recover them.

Now, you need to find and upload the Tweet.js file to their system and wait for Circleboom to process your tweet history. This may take a few minutes, depending on the number of tweets you have.

Once Circleboom has processed your tweet history, you will see a list of all your tweets. You can filter these tweets by date, keyword, or even by selecting specific tweets you want to delete. Circleboom also offers an option to delete all tweets at once.

After selecting the tweets you want to delete, click on the “Delete Selected Tweets” button. Circleboom will then ask you to confirm your decision, as deleted tweets cannot be recovered.

Once you confirm, Circleboom will start deleting the selected tweets. Depending on the number of tweets you have chosen to delete, this process may take some time. After the deletion process is complete, Circleboom will display a notification to inform you that your selected tweets have been successfully deleted. You can now check your Twitter account to confirm that the tweets have been removed.

Remember that deleting tweets using Circleboom is permanent and cannot be undone. Be sure to double-check your selections before confirming the deletion. Also, keep in mind that using Circleboom to delete tweets may require a subscription, depending on the number of tweets you wish to delete and the features you want to access. They offer different pricing plans to cater to various users’ needs, so choose the one that fits your requirements best.
